Jane Seymour Responsible For Fire in Space Episode

In The original Battlestar Galactica episode Fire in Space. The Galactica was almost lost in a horrific fire with massive casualties and we now we know why.  It turns out that Jane Seymour character Serina was so hot the ship and all it's technology couldn't handle it.

The Galactica was an state of the art Colonial Capital Ship with advanced fire suppression systems, but was unable to cope with a lone hottie smoke show that could freely move between decks in skin tight outfits that literally set the ship on fire.

The original episode was going to be called Blue Squadron Party Time, where the members of the Blue Squadron gather in the officers club for some much needed rest and relaxation. Unfortunately  for the crew of the Galactica  Serina shows up in a killer blue dress that set the party favors ablaze and quickly spreads. When general quarters is sounded Serina changes into her skin tight uniform making the situation even worse.

In the original script a Cylon fighter would show up interrupting the party, but instead the Cylon ship blinded by the hotness of Jane Seymour crashed into the hanger deck making a already bad fire spread even more out of control.

It was only when Jane Seymour left the set to shoot scenes from her 1978 move the Four Feathers, did the crew manage to get the fire under control. Director Christian Nyby realized he had cinematic gold on his hands  rewrote the scrip to Fire in Space.
