Gigantic humans foretell weather

 Ever stop and wonder how meteorologists get so big? When your watching your local news and this massive person sometimes as big as the continent itself is pointing at strange symbols and telling you what the weather is going to be like, do you ever ask yourself, is this normal?

Why do we take for granted the power of these massive  individuals with seeming  command of the weather itself? Maybe its because we see them everyday and have become desensitized , maybe its because we think it might be some camera trick trying to fool us, or maybe we just don't want to know.   

To stop and question why these people are so gigantic might change the way we see the world itself. History and legends been telling us of giants with might powers for millennia. In fact the word Tempest, which we use to describe a bad storm comes from the actual name of the Greek god Tempestas, the mighty giant that brought storms and bad weather. Have we learned nothing? 

In the end I fear we have simply made a bargain with these colossus entities simply because it benefits us. We are safe and sound on our couch knowing it is safe to plan our picnic or a round of golf this weekend because the weather leviathan told us so.    

I for one have no answers, only questions.
