new Godzilla movie to edit out controversial inter species love scene
The new big budget Godzilla movie Godzilla: King of Monsters due out this May has edited out a controversial scene between Godzilla and King Kong.
The original scene depicted Godzilla and King Kong in what can be described as intimate embracing and touching that lasted approximately twenty minutes complete with a romantic music score.
A studio spokesperson at Warner brothers Pictures sited the movie's long running time as a reason why the film was edited down, but Hollywood insiders say that the inter species love scene was just to much for most monster movie nerds to take and Warner Brothers wanted to ensure that the 200 million dollar film would release without any controversy
It would seem that Warner Brothers wanted to avoid past mistakes like their 1999 film Godzilla vs. the King of Crabs that portrayed Godzilla fighting an army of gigantic pubic lice that tanked at the box office causing the studio to loose millions and caused a public uproar.
